English Department of G.M.N College organized a Community outreach activity on 27 July 2019 in Government Senior Secondary School, B.C. Bazar, Ambala Cantt. It was a Sensitization program on health, hygiene, cleanliness and waste management. Forty-one students of different classes of the college in collaboration with the senior students of Govt. Sr. Secondary School spread awareness on these issues. Students of B.A English Honours and M.A. English presented PPTs and made the students of Government School aware of their role and contribution in making India a clean country and how to make cleanliness a habit. Shreya of M.A first year presented her PPT on ‘Cleaning and Personal Hygiene’; Divya of the same class presented her PPT on ‘Clean India Campaign’; Prateeksha and Priyanka of B.A final year English Honours, presented PPT on ‘Waste Management’; Karuna and Baljeet of the same class presented PPT on ‘Water Conservation and Electricity’; Avni from B.A second-year English Honours presented PPT on ‘Cleanliness+’ and Johnson of the same class presented PPT on ‘Cleanliness’. All the students dealt with the practical aspects of these issues. A short movie titled "Ek Nayi Ummeed -Help to Clean " made by the students of Mass Communication of G.M. N College was also screened. The stage was conducted by the Convener of the program Dr. Amit and Co-convener Dr. Anshu Chaudhary. The Principal of Government School Smt.
