CONSTITUTION DAY CELEBRATION
REPORT
P.G. Department of Political Science of G.M.N. College, Ambala Cantt celebrated
constitution Day on 26.11.2021. Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Assistant Professor, Political
Science presented a brief introduction of topic and resource person. Dr. Krishan
Kumar, Associate Professor in Public Administration elaborated upon the utility and
values enshrined in the constitution. He highlighted how these values premises have
shaped the working of Indian Political System and Governance. The framers of Indian
constitution had replicated the best things of other constitutions and adopted these in
Indian constitution. Indian constitution had been deliberately made lengthiest one to
incorporate provisions to deal with the problems that might inhibit the growth of infant
democracy. Indian has successfully completed 70 years of democratic functioning in the
post constitution period. The way the constitution has been literally interpreted by the
judiciary has also flourished and enriched the democratic system and its vital institution.
Principal, Dr. R.P. Singh congratulated the department of Political Science for
celebrating the event.
Dr. Parvesh Kumar presented vote of thanks at the conclusion of address. Dr. S.S.
Nain, Sh. Sajjan Singh and Dr. Saroj Bala with a student of PG and UG of Political
Science were present on this occasion.
