Extension Lecture of Chemistry
Department of Chemistry, G.M.N. College, Ambala Cantt. organized an
extension lecture of Prof. Harish Sharma, chairman, Department of chemistry,
Kurukshetra university, Kurukshetra on emerging opportunities in the field of
chemistry on 18 th September, 2019. Dr. Rajpal Singh, Principal, G. M. N
College welcomed the guest and also motivated the B.Sc. students for pursuing
higher education in the field of chemistry. Esteemed Prof. Harish Sharma
interacted with under graduate students and motivated them to pursue their post-
graduation in the field of chemistry. He also stressed upon the fact that
chemistry is useful in our day to day routine and future prospects of research are
bright in the field of chemistry. He also motivated the students to make efforts
for clearing NET and GATE exams so that they can take up admission in IITs
and respectable universities like KUK, Delhi University, Panjab University etc.
Dr. V. K. Bindal, Head, Chemistry department and Dr. Neha Aggarwal,
Assistant Professor, Chemistry department proposed vote of thanks to Prof.
Harish Sharma. Dr. S.K. Pandey and Dr. Niyti were also present. Science
students participated with great zeal and enthusiasm.
