Today, on March 24, 2023, an online webinar was organized on the occasion of the martyrdom day of Indian freedom fighter Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, Sukhdev ji. This webinar is organized by Department of History, Gandhi Memorial National College Ambala Cantt and Department of History, MDS D College Ambala City. Dr. Suman Siwach, Assistant Professor of History, Indira Gandhi National College, Ladwa, Kurukshetra participated as the main speaker in this programme. The programme was started by Madam Karmjeet Kaur, Head, Department of History, MDSD College, Ambala City. She told that Bhagat Singh's contribution to the Indian National Movement is very unique, the way he exposed the British imperialism and inequality in the society. It's a big deal. Dr. Rohit Dutt Principal, GMN College Ambala Cantt said that Bhagat Singh is a role model for today's youth and he is as famous today as he was then. Dr. Kiran Angra, Principal, MDSD College, Ambala City said that Bhagat Singh such a person who has no other match, that is why his contribution to the Indian National Movement cannot be forgotten. Dr. Suman Siwach told in his lecture that Bhagat Singh did what even today's big leaders could not do at a young age. His working style, his thoughts, and his aim was equality in all. In fact, his personality was developed from the literature he read and on the same basis he envisioned an India which was not only free from imperialism but also free from exploitation and based on equality. To achieve this objective, he was hanged laughingly at a young age so that a prosperous nation could be built. Dr. Dharamveer Saini explored in his lecture that Bhagat Singh was organic personality. He always thought about the futuristic India in his writings. He concerned to that how to make a Modern India which was completely free from Exploitation. At the end of the programme Principal MDSD College Ambala City Dr. Kiran Angra and Dr. Rohit Dutt Principal G.N. College Ambala Cantt congratulated the coordinators for the success of the programme and inspired them to do such programmes in future.
