Field Trip to Reliance Smart
The Department of Commerce organized Field Trip to Reliance Smart.
A group of 17 students (B.Com.) along with 2 teachers, Dr. Suman and
Ms. Udita visited the Reliance Smart Store located in the main market
area of the city. The purpose of the visit was to understand the
operations and management of a retail store and to observe the practical
application of concepts learned in the classroom. During the visit, the
students observed various aspects of the store, such as the display of
products, pricing, customer service, and billing procedures. The students
also interacted with the store manager and the staff to understand the
working of the store.Students acquired knowledge and concepts of the
organized retailing and how to function in retail setup. Students learnt
different concepts related to retail location and leasing strategies.
Students also gained knowledge about the retail promotions and building
store loyalty. The field visit to the Reliance Smart was an enriching
experience for the students. The visit helped the students to understand
the practical application of various concepts learned in the classroom.
