Gandhi Memorial National College organized Alumni Meet “Yaadgaar” on 5 May, 2019. About 106 students who had passed out from this institution around three years ago participated in the event and refreshed their memories. The programme started with the lighting of the lamp. Addressing the assembly, Dr. Raj Pal Singh, Principal, said that the event was a means to enliven the old memories of the students and energise the future generations of students. The Chief Guest on this occasion was Col. S. P. Marwah and the event was presided over by Ms. Anjali Wadhavan. Col. Marwah’s book “Reflections” was also launched at this ceremonious occasion. Col. Marwah in his speech highlighted how students should find ways to deal with their problems in order to brighten their future. Anjali Wadhavan in her lecture remembered her golden days in the college campus and said that the college is her Tapobhumi, Gyanbhumi and Karmabhumi. Alumni of the college like Neeraj, Sakshi, Ritika, Shivam, Rohit, Rahul, Sajan and Anveet shared their experiences of the college with the audience. Tamanna performed Ganesh Vandana and Gurlal sang a song which mesmerized the audience. Apart from that, many other performances lit up the whole atmosphere. The stage was coordinated by Prof. Sudarshan Gasso, Dr. Jyoti and Dr. Ravneet Kaur. Other significant members of the alumni association were also present – Principal Harpal Singh, Navneet Mittal, Anil Jain, Ravinder Singh, Gurmeet Singh. The event was successfully organized by Satish Moudgil and his team. All the members of the teaching and the non-teaching staff were present.
