The Sanskrit Department of GMN College celebrated the Sanskrit Diwas on 16.8.19 by organising an Inter - college Shlok Uchcharan and Sanskrit song competition. The event was marked by Saraswati Vandana by the students of the college. The Chairperson of the department, Dr Rajindra, welcomed the participants and wished them luck for the competition. Dr Raj Pal Singh, Principal, congratulated everyone on this eventful day. Students from various institutions like DAV College, Ambala City, MDSD College, Ambala City, Arya Girls College, Ambala Cantt, Arya Girls College, Jalandhar, M.N. College Mullana participated in the event. The judges of the competition were Dr CK Jha and Dr Rajesh Kumar. The stage coordinators were Dr Anish and Dr Ritu Gupta. The winners of the singing competition were Rabnoor of GMN College(first prize); Lakshya Tiwari and Shivani of Maharana Pratap National College (second prize); Shubham Kumar of Maharana Pratap College and Monika of Arya Girls College(third prize). Whereas in the Shloka Uchcharan competition, Lakshya Tiwari, Monika and Rabnoor bagged the first, second and third prizes. The winners were honored with trophies and certificates. Several members of the staff including Dr Gasso, Dr Anju Jain, Dr Manjeet were present during the event. In the end Dr Rajindra thanked everyone for their cooperation and support.
