International webinar on "Ancient Science of Ayurveda: Spine of Modern Biological Sciences"
An international webinar was organized under the UGC approved addon course under the Sanskrit, Botany and Zoology Department of GMN College, Ambala Cantonment with the main theme "Ancient Science of Ayurveda: Spine of Modern Biological Sciences" on 22-02-2021. Dr. Baldev Singh, Vice Chancellor, Shri Krishna Ayush University, Kurukshetra acted as Chief Guest at the function. Professor Ashok Aggarwal Botany Department, KUK acted as Guest of Honour. Dr. Someshwar Dutt, Former Director, Haryana Sanskrit Academy Panchkula was also present on this occasion.
Dr. Abhijeet Sarjerao Shirkande, Secretary (International Academy), Ayurveda acted as as the Chief Speaker, and Dr. Gurvinder Kaur, HOD, Botany Department, Guru Nanak Girls College, Yamunanagar also acted as resource person. College Principal, Dr. Rajpal Singh welcomed all the keynote speakers and the chief guest. He also said on this occasion that the UGC itself has given the college a golden opportunity to establish "Applied Sanskrit Shastra Research and Training Center". Dr. Rajendra (Course cum Convener) of Sanskrit Department organized this webinar. Dr. Shikha Jaggi, Zoology department acted as Convener and Dr. Meenu Rathi & Dr. Kuldeep Yadav from Botany Department also acted as Co-convener and organizing Convener.
