ONE-DAY NATIONAL SEMINAR
The Department of Commerce organized one day National Seminar on "THE FUTURE PROSPECTS OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN INDIA IN THE VIEW OF NEP-2020". The seminar started with the lightening of lamp before goddess Saraswati. Principal Dr. Rohit Dutt and Shri Ram Murti, H.O.D, Department of Commerce, welcomed worthy chief guests, Dr. Sanjeev Chawla, Director, MSME, Karnal and the resource person of the technical session, Dr. Rahul Taneja, Scientist, Patent Information Centre, Department of Science and Technology, Haryana by presenting the plant sapling and also express their gratitude to the key note speaker and Prof. Tejinder Sharma, Chairman, Department of Commerce, KUK. Worthy principal explained the scope of NEP in the context of entrepreneurship. He told about the benefits of the current seminar in NAAC. Then Dr. Surender Kumar, Convener of the seminar, presented the theme of the seminar and its relevance in the present scenario.Dr. Sanjeev Chawla told the importance of the topic of the seminar. After that, the keynote speaker Prof. Tejinder Sharma presented his topic 'Entrepreneurship and Practical Implementation of NEP in an Educational Institute'. About 20 participants presented their paper on the topic of entrepreneurship and NEP2020. Then the resource person Dr. Rahul Taneja gave his valuable information on IPR. . After lunch,inthe valedictory session floral welcome was given to the chief guest, Prof. Kuldip S. Chhikara (Department of Commerce, M.D.U. Rohtak) and the guest of honour, Dr. Krishan Kumar Poonia, Director, HIRD, Development and Panchayat Department, Government of Haryana. Dr. Krishan Kumar talked about various issues and opportunities faced by India in the light of NEP 2020. Dr. Kuldip S. Chhikara gave his valuable insights about the entrepreneurship and its relevance. The seminar ended with a vote of thanks by Mr. Ram Murti, H.O.D. Commerce. Ms. Pinki Gupta presented the report of the National Seminar.
