Orientation Programme for the BA first year and BA Hons. First year Students
The Orientation Programme for the BA first year and BA Hons. First year Students were conducted by the Department of Political Science on 19th September 2022 at 9 AM in Room No- 2. Dr. V.K. Jain, Principal of the College, addressed the students and then told about the significance of hard work, sincerity and discipline in student's life. He also discussed the various dimensions of the institution. In this orientation programme all the Faculty members (Dr. S.S. Nain, Dr. Rakesh, Dr. Saroj Bala and Dr. Tripti Sharma) deliberated words of advice/suggestions to the newly admitted students. The following points were discussed:
1. History and Achievements of the Department.
2. The importance of Education in life.
3. The importance of studying Political Science.
4. What should be the aim of education?
5. How to improve the life and how to lead a life in a right direction.
6. About the course syllabus and significance of attendance (have to maintain 75 per cent attendance in each paper).
7. Importance of internal session tests.
8. Responsibility towards the society as an educated person.
A group of students from General and Honors Second and Final-year also shared their experiences with the new comers. The fresher were given an overview of the Department and the various facilities, clubs, associations and activities through a PowerPoint Presentation by Ms. Rushal, a Final Year Honors student. All the faculty of the Department introduced themselves to the fresh batch of students. Dr. V.K. Jain also congratulated the Department for taking the initiative to bring forth the leadership qualities of the students and instilling confidence in their capability as they conducted the stage beautifully. There were 80 students excluding the Second and final year students. The programme was organized by Dr. Tripti Sharma as convener.
