PDP on ERP
To enhance the skills and knowledge of non-teaching staff, the Department of Computer Science of
GMN College, Ambala Cantt. Organized a professional development program on April 15, 2023. The
program was focused on teaching how to use different modules of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
software.
The event was held in the college and was well-attended by non-teaching staff from various
departments. The program was conducted by Dr. Surjeet Singh, Associate Professor at the Department
of Computer Science, who is an expert in the field of ERP software.
Dr. Singh began the program by giving a brief introduction to ERP software and its importance in today's
digital world. He then went on to explain the different modules of ERP software, including leave
management system, profile editing and salary slips etc.
The participants were then given hands-on training on how to use each of these modules. They were
taught how to input and retrieve. The program was highly interactive, and the participants were
encouraged to ask questions and clarify their doubts throughout the session. Dr. Singh patiently
answered all the queries and provided valuable insights and tips on how to use the software efficiently.
The program was well-received by the participants, who found it extremely useful and informative. They
expressed their gratitude to the department for organizing such a beneficial program and to Dr. Singh
for sharing his expertise with them.
Overall, the professional development program organized by the Department of Computer Science was
a resounding success, and it served as a testament to the department's commitment to promoting
lifelong learning among its staff. Principal, Dr. Rohit Dutt praised this activity of the department a lot.
