Report on philanthropic visit to voluntary organization in Ambala
Motivating youth instilling in them a sense of volunteering service, a plan to visit Rotary Hospital and elderly old age Home was organized by the Sociology Department. On 27 January 2020, students and teacher (Mrs. Rachna Khanna) interacted with cancer patients &hospital staff and learned health related challenges along with the rising number of cancer patients and their vulnerabilities in life. Thereafter an interactive session was held with elderly people during which students realized about the various social, psychological, economic problems faced by the them. Students empathised with them and ensured to visit again and realized their duty towards elderly people.
