slogan writing competition on National Voters Day Celebration
Department of Political Science in collaboration with YARI international organised slogan writing competition on National Voters Day Celebration on 25-01-2021 at college premises. Students of political science participated very enthusiastically in this event. The objective of the program was to inculcate constitutional obligations among students, to create awareness about Universal Franchise, to sensitise the students about importance of voting. Principal Dr. v.K. jain In his speech, highlighter the significance of the voters' day and the history of voters' day. Dr. S.S. Nain Head of department of political science said that The purpose of the celebration is to inculcate constitutional obligations and to encourage staff and students to franchise their vote. On this occasion Teaching, non teaching faculty members and Students also pledged to uphold democratic traditions of our country and the dignity of free, fair and peaceful elections without being influenced by considerations of religion, race, caste, community, language or any other inducement. The pledge was undertaken to motivate all voters to exercise their privilege to cast a vote in free and fair elections in a free democratic country. The outcome of the program was Students and staff understood the importance of right to vote.
