Student Orientation Programme plays an important role in a student's transition to a college life. Orientation programme are aimed at familiarizing the students to an unknown campus environment, its faculties and infrastructure. It helps them to find their way in the college for the next two years and also encourages them to get better adjusted to the college environment. Gandhi Memorial National College, Ambala Cantt organized an 'Orientation Program' for newly admitted Post Graduate students, as it plays a significant role in introducing the college activities. During orientation, Dr. V.K. Jain, Principal of the College informed the students about the various cells and their activities, infrastructural facilities, extracurricular activities, learning resources, and the college culture. The H.O.D's from the P.G. departments i.c. Commerce, Political Science, English and Maths made the students to understand their role and responsibilities during college life. They also mentioned that in order to give the most accurate view of an institution, there must be both an academic and social component to the orientation program. The students were also informed about the rules & regulations, campus safety and the academic calendar. G.M. N. College motivates the students and wished them Good Luck for their bright and glorious future. Approximate 100 students attend the event. All Faculty from Commerce, Political Science, English and Maths were present there.
