Alumni Cell of the college in association with Raj Vidya Kendra organized a video lecture on “Peace and Harmony” on Feb. 13, 2020 in the college auditorium.
Mr. Prem Rawat, International Brand Ambassador for Peace and Harmony, was the Keynote Speaker in the programme. Mr. Himanshu Chauhan, Mr. Anil Kumar, Mr. Gulzar Singh, Mr. Hari Singh, Dr. Saroj Thakur and Mr. Vinod Kumar from Raj Vidya Kendra were also present to motivate the students with their inspirational ideas. In his video lecture, Mr. Prem Rawat enlightened the students about the significance of peace and harmony in the life of an individual. He expressed his concern about excessive indulgence of youth in mobile phones and violent video games. He then discussed various ways for attaining mental balance, spiritual equanimity and a peaceful attitude to life.
Ms Anjali Wadhawan, President, Alumni Association of the college, said that in a multicultural and multilingual country like India, unity in diversity could only be achieved through mental balance, peaceful atmosphere and goodwill. Principal, Dr. Raj Pal Singh advised the students not to indulge in sectarian politics. He inspired them to work for the betterment of the society by spreading the message of peace and harmony in the world. He also praised the efforts of Mr. Satish Moudgil, Dr. Bharti Vij and Dr. Jyoti Sorout in making the programme a success. 90 students participated in the programme.
