Adulteration of food deceives the consumer and can cause a risk to their health. Antimicrobial resistant is the ability of microbes to resist the effect of medication that once could successfully treat the microbe. indiscriminate use of antibiotic against microbial infection develops antibiotic resistance. Keeping in view the above facts the science faculty of the college has organised one day workshop on food adulteration and antibiotic susceptibility testing on 9th August 2009 in collaboration with Ambala College of Engineering and applied research, Mithapur. On this occasion, Dr. Ram Kumar Pundir and Dr. Vikas Sharma of Ambala College of Engineering acted as resource person and they check the adulterants particular in milk turmeric and red chilli using chemical anti strip method. Near about 150 students from different streams of science attended the workshop.
