Zonal Youth Festival 2019

Students of Gandhi Memorial National College participated in Zonal Youth Festival 2019 hosted by Ambala College of Engineering and Applied Research, Ambala Cantt. from 5th to 7th October. Many students of college participated in 16 different competitions which included events such as Classical Vocal (solo), Light Vocal (solo), Haryanvi Folk Song (solo), Western Vocal (solo), Group Song (Haryanvi), etc.
Students of G.M.N. College got recommended in 4 events, which are Western Vocal (solo), Classical Vocal (solo), Haryanvi Dance (solo) & Haryanvi Folk song (Raagni). Got First Commended in 9 events including General Group song, Haryanvi Group song, Haryanvi Group dance, and Light Vocal solo, Classical Instrumental (Non- percussion), Classical Dance (Kathak), Mimicry, Pop Song (Haryanvi) & Haryanvi Dance Solo (female). Participants also got second commended in following 3 events: Western Instrumental, Folk Song (General) & Haryanvi Folk Instrumental (Solo)
On this occasion of victory, the organizing committee and our honorable principal Dr. Rajpal Singh congratulated the winners and motivated them to keep on working hard for upcoming events. While addressing the students he spoke about how along with academics, college promotes extra-curricular activities and how all the required efforts are being made to bring out the hidden talent of our students. He also emphasized that the major aim of college education should be all round development of students. Our principal also congratulated and thanked the convener Dr. Rajendra, co-convener Dr. Krishan Punia and committee members Dr. Manjeet Kaur & Dr. C.P. Punia for their efforts.
